What is a run-on sentence?
A run-on sentence happens when two or more sentences are put together without proper punctuation or connecting words. They feel like they go on and on without a pause.
Example of a run-on sentence:
I ran outside I saw my friend.
This sentence should be split or corrected so it doesn’t sound rushed.
How to fix run-on sentences:
Add a period and start a new sentence.
I ran outside. I saw my friend.Use a comma and a connecting word (like "and," "but," or "so").
I ran outside, and I saw my friend.Use a semicolon if the ideas are closely related (this is more advanced).
I ran outside; I saw my friend.

Below are some run-on sentences. Fix them by adding periods or connecting words. You can try more than one way to fix each sentence. I want you to write each of these sentences in the correct form.
